Things To Do

We think you will discover Tulsa is a terrific gem of place to visit. We’ve organized our conference events around our great, central hotel location. Even if Mother Nature decides to send us a big chill, our event venues are within easy access to our base facility…we even have historic tunnels in downtown Tulsa! So bring comfortable shoes. And if you arrive early or stay late, there are terrific museums, restaurants and an amazing BOK arena nearby to enjoy. Here’s a sample from our Tulsa Metro Chamber site, the 2010 Chamber of the Year, and use the link below to view more:

Art Deco
It was the Roaring Twenties. And Tulsa's booming downtown was growing to the tune of $1 million per month - with a wealth of sophisticated Art Deco architecture. Prime examples from the height of Art Deco's reign continue to define the Tulsa skyline. Highlights include Tulsa's Boston Avenue Methodist Church, considered the finest art deco church in the country, and the Philcade, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Only New York City and Miami boast more examples of this opulent, yet streamlined architectural style.

History
Older than Oklahoma itself, Tulsa has held many titles: "The Oil Capital of the World," "America's Most Beautiful City," and "The Birthplace of Route 66." Not all of its history is as beautiful as the Art Deco architecture that adorns its downtown - notably, the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. For over a century, Tulsa has not only made history, it has honored and preserved it. Make a little history of your own by visiting the world's largest, most comprehensive collection of art and artifacts of the American West, the largest collection of Judaica in the American Southwest or the Italian Renaissance collections at one of five U.S. museums housed in a historic mansion with formal gardens.
